Melbourne Cup Long Lunch 2026

There aren’t many Tuesdays that give you a reason to get dressed up, gather your favourite people and make a whole afternoon of lunch.

Melbourne Cup Day is one of them.

Join us upstairs at The Upperhouse, Royal Hotel Queanbeyan from 12pm on Tuesday 3 November for our Melbourne Cup Long Lunch.

We’ll start with a glass of sparkling on arrival before sitting down to a multi-course lunch. The races will be on the big screens throughout the afternoon, with an on-site TAB for those having a flutter.

And between races, The Wonder Twins will be playing live.

There will be sweepstakes to join in and prizes for our best-dressed guests, so Cup Day is still a good excuse to pull out the dress, suit or fascinator that’s been waiting for somewhere to go.

Whether you’re coming from Queanbeyan, Canberra or just looking for a good reason to make more of a Tuesday, everything is happening in one place upstairs at The Upperhouse.
