At RHQ, community has always come first and over the past year, together we have been raising funds to support local families or charities who need our help.
Our Friday Meat Raffles are one of the ways we give back, bringing our community together to support local people and families when they need it most.
We’re currently raising funds for the family of Lachlan “Kenny” O’Kane, who tragically passed away suddenly in June at just 35 years old.
Kenny was a proud veteran, a devoted husband to Alex, a loving father to their three young children and one of those people who was always there for others. Many in our community will know Alex from Ciao Coffee and Cakes.
Losing Kenny has left an unimaginable void for his family. Profits from every raffle ticket sold go directly towards helping ease some of the financial pressure, giving Alex and the children one less thing to worry about as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
Join us every Friday
Every Friday night and help us make a difference while enjoying everything a Friday at the Royal has to offer.
Tickets on sale from 5pm
Raffles drawn from 7pm
You’ll be in the draw to win one of these 3 prizes:
Two premium meat trays
A case of our RHQ 100 Years BentSpoke beer, Flat Out Like a Lizard Drinking
After the raffles, stay on for our Friday night Live Music from 8pm.
Gather your friends, book a table at our Bistro and kick start your weekend the right way.
Whether you buy one ticket or a handful, you’re helping us show what our community does best, supporting local people when they need it most.

There aren’t many Tuesdays that give you a reason to get dressed up, gather your favourite people and make a whole afternoon of lunch.
Melbourne Cup Day is one of them.
Join us upstairs at The Upperhouse, Royal Hotel Queanbeyan from 12pm on Tuesday 3 November for our Melbourne Cup Long Lunch.
We’ll start with a glass of sparkling on arrival before sitting down to a multi-course lunch. The races will be on the big screens throughout the afternoon, with an on-site TAB for those having a flutter.
And between races, The Wonder Twins will be playing live.
There will be sweepstakes to join in and prizes for our best-dressed guests, so Cup Day is still a good excuse to pull out the dress, suit or fascinator that’s been waiting for somewhere to go.
Whether you’re coming from Queanbeyan, Canberra or just looking for a good reason to make more of a Tuesday, everything is happening in one place upstairs at The Upperhouse.
